Brandon “Taz” Niederauer welcomed special guest Mike Gordon to the stage during the former’s Friday show in Vermont. The former child guitar prodigy performed at The Double E in Essex in the Phish bassist’s home state.

With Phish’s return to the stage on July 28th in Arkansas drawing ever closer, Gordon has been making his rounds at local Vermont shows as he preps for tour. Last month has seen the bassist sit in with Max Creek at Backside 405 in Burlington alongside his daughter and occasional musical partner Tessa.

Meanwhile, Taz is in the throes of his own tour which recently saw him dazzle audiences at The Peach Music Festival. Between his solo set of originals, the prominent role he played in the festival’s tribute to The Allman Brothers Band‘s At Fillmore East, and guest appearances with Blind Boys of Alabama, The Nth Power, and more, the ever-growing gunslinger got plenty of well-deserved exposure. Now with a sterling endorsement from Mike Gordon, Taz is poised to climb ever higher as more and more fans and fellow musicians alike take notice.
