Brooklyn Comes Alive is a new concept inspired by the vibrant music scenes of New Orleans and Brooklyn and the people who make these places so special. We’re putting the focus on the artists, with a long list of amazing musicians spanning a variety of genres performing across several Williamsburg, Brooklyn venues all day long on Saturday, September 26th 2015.

Brooklyn Comes Alive will welcome members of Lettuce, Soulive, Medeski Martin & Wood, Trey Anastasio Band, The Disco Biscuits, Living Colour, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Snarky Puppy, Ween, RAQ, Orchard Lounge, Kung Fu, Soule Monde and many more to take over Brooklyn for the day. Running from about noon-4 AM, for the price of an average show, one pass grants you access to an entire day and night’s worth of music (10+ shows in total).

Artists will be performing throughout the day in unique, once-in-a-lifetime formations at venues across Williamsburg. We’re encouraging collaborations and a spirit of community, so expect superjams, sit-ins, and special guests all day and all night. For example, Verboten will be running music for nearly 24 hours straight, starting with a jazz brunch presented by Blue Note early in the day, and ending as the sun rises after a late night dance party. The Music Hall of Williamsburg will open up in the early evening, hosting several headlining jam sessions as well. A staggered schedule allows you to jump from venue to venue with ease, experiencing all that Brooklyn Comes Alive has to offer.

The jazz brunch at Verboten hosted by the Blue Note will feature tunes from Grammy award-winning Maurice “Mobetta” Brown, Billy Martin of Medeski, Martin & Wood, Phish tribute pianist Holly Bowling and more (click here for more details). Call (347) 223-4732 to make a reservation for the Jazz Brunch. You may request the main room for Maurice “Mobetta” Brown followed by Billy Martin, or the Cabaret Room if you’d prefer to check out Holly Bowling. Reservations are not required.

For the late night, Orchard Lounge will be performing a special extended set featuring the original OL trio that will take the music into the early morning, while Marco Benevento and Friends play a set at an adjacent venue.

The concept arose from a desire to recreate the experience of being on Frenchman Street in New Orleans, where one can hop from venue to venue seeing many of your favorite artists participate in a myriad of one-time collaborations.

Purchasing a Brooklyn Comes Alive wristband allows you access to ALL venues and events throughout the day and night. Think of it like an indoor music festival — jump back and forth between sets or camp out at the rail for your favorite artists. Some space may be limited so arrive at your favorites early, though attendees with wristbands are always guaranteed access to at least one of our events at any given time. Limited single event tickets may be available day of show based on availability, but these will not allow the ability to switch between venues or have any sort of re-entry, so your best value is a wristband!

A GA badge grants you access to ALL 10+ sets of music, including the late night festivities across multiple venues. Badges are now SOLD OUT, but individual jazz brunch and late night tickets are still available HERE.

GA badge wristbands may be picked up at Verboten starting at 11:30 AM.
