Bruce Hornsby has revealed the track listing and collaborator details for his forthcoming album, Indigo Park, due out on April 3rd via Zappo Productions/Thirty Tigers. Per Wednesday’s announcement, the LP features contributions from two of his departed Grateful Dead compatriots and longtime collaborators, guitarist/vocalist Bob Weir and lyricist Robert Hunter, in addition to Bonnie Raitt, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, and more.
The new album, produced by Tony Berg, Will Maclellan, and Hornsby himself, was recorded with his longtime band, The Noisemakers, as well as decorated ringers Blake Mills (guitar), Pino Palladino (bass), and Chris Dave (drums). The ten-track collection is contemplative and introspective, with lyrics written mostly in the first person, except two songs co-written with Robert Hunter (“Alabama” and “Might As Well Be Me, Florinda”).
Throughout the album, a press release notes, Hornsby revisits formative moments from his life, filtering them through the wisdom and perspective that comes with turning 70. The album’s title track and lead single—the first song he wrote for the album—recalls a 10th grade party at Williamsburg’s Indigo Park Pool, where his attempt at a “great big entrance” didn’t quite go as planned.
“It’s just an old bastard, looking back,” Hornsby quipped in a press statement. “To be honest, I’ve found a way, a path to grow old gracefully, with help from some newborn friends of mine.” Read more about the forthcoming album here.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of Hornsby’s iconic album and #1 hit “The Way It Is”. He will celebrate the milestone along with the new album release on a 2026 headline tour featuring two dozen shows across the U.S. this spring and summer. He also has a handful of solo performances remaining this month, capped off by a special appearance with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra at Denver’s Boettcher Concert Hall on February 28th.
