Since its inception back in 1999, Camp Bisco has been one of the Northeast’s premier summer music festivals. The namesake of the festival, the Philly-born Disco Biscuits are true pioneers of “trance-fusion,” as the band’s sound seamlessly melds jam and electronic. Thus, Camp Bisco became one of the first music festivals in North America to feature big names in both the jam and electronic scenes. In fact, some could argue that Bisco has always been ahead of the times, consistently drawing huge crowds with its diverse lineups for years by including EDM in a modern setting before it was standard.
This year, Camp Bisco will return to its relatively new home at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania, for the fourth consecutive year in a row from July 12th through 14th. In addition to the Biscuits’ six sets, the band has tapped a number of repeat offenders to round out the headliners, including Bassnectar, STS9, Lotus, Tipper, Bonobo (Live Band), and Excision, along with newcomer, Illenium. Camp Bisco’s headliners are a testament to the festival’s ability to predict the success of major acts before they hit the mainstream, with many of the acts on the list having performed the festival for years and slowly worked their way up the bill as they gained national renown.

However, while the headliners are primarily standouts in the electronic and jamtronica scene, the festival is by no means a one-trick pony. The rest of the lineup features a healthy mix of exciting jam, hip-hop, funk, and, of course, electronic acts, including Ghostface Killah, Lettuce, Boombox, The Floozies featuring The Terminus Horns, TAUK, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Papadosio, SunSqaubi, Big Wild, Naughty Professor, Kung Fu, 12th Planet, Space Jesus, Magic Beans, Mungion, Orchard Lounge, and many more.
