Ever since this past summer’s Farewell To Minglewood, regular attendees of the Catskill Chill Music Festival have been wondering what the future may hold. ChillFam may just have their answer, according to a report in the Glens Falls Post-Star.

Event promoter Dave Marzolla met with the Board of Supervisors in Lake George, NY earlier this week, and there seems to be a mutual interest with the town and event organizers. If approved, Chill would run from September 30-October 2, and the name would be changed to reflect the move.

The Occupancy Tax Committee agreed to give the festival $15,000 for marketing purposes, as Lake George is hoping to attract new, youthful visitors to the area. The city is also planning to create a Lake George Harvest Festival as well to the same ends. No word yet as to whether that will include live music.

This seems like an opportune move for both parties, but as of now nothing is confirmed. We’re certainly eager to see how this plays out and look forward to many more years of Chilling.
