Chicano Batman delivered a distortion-fueled take on Black Sabbath‘s “Paranoid” for SiriusXM‘s SiriusXMU channel recently. Their cover of the well-known hard rock anthem joined the performances of “Color My Life”, “I Know It”, and “Pink Elephant” for the virtual radio session, as the Los Angeles-based band continues to make the media rounds in promotion of their latest studio album, 2020’s Invisible People.

The band’s adrenaline-pumping cover of “Paranoid” hears guitarist Carlos Arévalo utilize his overdrive pedal to channel the familiar tone and riffs made famous by Tony Iommi. Singer Bardo Martinez also does a fantastic job of utilizing that tenor vocal range of his to deliver a performance worthy of Ozzy Osbourne‘s trademark lyrics. Fans can re-listen to the band’s four-song broadcast on the SiriusXMU channel on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
