Chick Corea Welcomes Herbie Hancock As Surprise Guest In LA [Watch]

The legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea has been out in Los Angeles, celebrating his 75th birthday with an extended run at Catalina’s Jazz Club. Performing with his Elektric Band, Corea had a special surprise in store for those who came out last Saturday, August 20th.

After the main set, Corea announced a special guest for the encore, none other than Herbie Hancock. Hancock, along with Corea & The Elektric Band, performed an absolutely stunning version of “Spain.” The 1973 classic was navigated masterfully by Hancock and Corea, as you can witness through the video posted by GrantPmusic on YouTube.
