Country legend George Strait will return to the road for a limited run of stadium concerts with Chris Stapleton next summer. The two country superstars will play six stadiums across the country from May through August with Little Big Town as support.

The shows begin on May 6th at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ before picking back up in June for stops in Milwaukee (6/3), Seattle (6/17), and Denver (6/24). The tour will resume on July 29th with a show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville and finally rap in Tampa on August 5th.

“When I walk through those curtains and see those smiling faces, my feet don’t touch the ground again ‘til I walk back out and get on that bus that got me there. That’s from a song I wrote called ‘I’ll Always Remember You.’ It’s a true statement,” Strait told Billboard. “When we talked about doing these six shows next year with Chris, it was a no brainer for me. I was all in.”

Strait publicly retired from large-scale touring in 2014, and has since made sparing appearances at festivals and one-off shows. He currently has a residency at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, set to run through December with special guest Caitlyn Smith.

He has another festival date set for July 8th at Cavendish Beach Music Festival on Prince Edward Island in Canada. Stapleton will also perform one night at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Plaza destination event in Riviera Cancun, Mexico January 19th–22nd (exact date not confirmed).
