Affectionately dubbed “Oldchella,” the new Desert Trip Festival is set to feature an all-star cast of classic rockers: Paul McCartney, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Roger Waters. Leave it to the organizers of Coachella to expand their plans to a second weekend, planning to accommodate demand by revealing that the same lineup will perform one week later.
Initially set for October 7-9, the festival has added the weekend of October 14-16 to account for “overwhelming demand.” Considering that tickets haven’t gone on sale yet, it’s safe to say that this second weekend was always in the works for Desert Trip, though it was just officially announced minutes before the ticket on-sale.
