On June 26th, the Supreme Court of the United States made a historic 5-4 ruling in favor of gay marriage. Of course, the infamous Justice Antonin Scalia was opposed to the ruling, and he wrote a strongly worded dissent to voice his opinion.

Naturally, metal band Coheed and Cambria wrote an acoustic ballad pulling quotes from Scalia’s defense. This is possibly the greatest way to turn Scalia’s words around on him, opting for a lighthearted approach that perfectly pokes fun at Scalia’s disappointing opinion. The harmonies on words like “Affordable Care Act” makes this a surprisingly fantastic song as well.
