The brand new Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn will host it’s first New Years Eve this year, bringing together two of music’s biggest acts on one stage. On December 31st, Coldplay and Jay-Z will co-headline a New Years Eve super show, following a Coldplay solo show on December 30th. Coldplay and Jay-Z are no strangers – they brought in the New Year together in Las Vegas in 2010, and have performed together on special occasions such as the 2012 Paralympics and Jay-Z’s sold out Yankee Stadium show.
These two shows will be Coldplay’s first New York shows since 2005, while Jay-Z recently opened up the Barclay’s Center with a string of sold out shows. If you were ever going to take your girlfriend to see Coldplay, this is probably your best chance to look like a hero and still jam out to Jay-Z.
Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday, November 17, at 10AM via Live Nation. Citi card members have access to a pre-sale starting Tuesday, November 13, and 10AM.
