Soul-funk outfit Crowd Company has announced the forthcoming release of their third studio album, Lowdown, which will arrive on January 31st via Vintage League Music.

The group also noted in a press release on Monday that the studio album will feature guest appearances by a pair of familiar horn players in Ryan Zoidis and Eric “Benny” Bloom from Lettuce. The two will be featured players across the album’s 12 total tracks.

The band has already released two singles from Lowdown over the past two months via their official Spotify. These include the instrumental “Express 76”, in addition to the female-led title track. It’s peculiar that Crowd Company would record an instrumental song, seeing how the group is stacked with three talented vocalists who are able to seamlessly shift lead vocals in addition to three-part harmonies. Yet, the resulting groove of “Express 76” can’t be denied.

Crowd Company is currently on tour playing dates throughout the United Kingdom, and are scheduled to remain across the pond until September. However, there are sizable gaps in the band’s tour schedule between May and July, which could leave room for some American festival appearances.

Tickets for the band’s upcoming shows are available via their website.
