Today, The Recording Academy announced that renowned electronic duo Daft Punk will return to the stage for their first time since 2014 for a performance with The Weeknd at the 2017 Grammy Awards. According to Pitchfork, the French “robots” and the R&B crooner will perform their 2016 smash hit “Starboy,” the title song off The Weeknd’s 2016 album. The track marked Daft Punk’s first-ever Number 1 single. Daft Punk also worked with the Weeknd on a second track on his album, “I Feel It Coming.”

Daft Punk’s last live appearance came at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where they played their worldwide smash “Get Lucky” with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, and Stevie Wonder. That year, the robots won Grammy Awards for Album of the Year (Random Access Memories) and Record of the Year (“Get Lucky”). Neither Daft Punk nor The Weeknd are up for any awards for their own releases this year, although The Weeknd is nominated for his contributing role on Beyonce‘s Lemonade.
