The Chicago Tribune reports that singer D’Angelo has had to cancel a handful of recent tour dates, including Wednesday, August 7th’s performance at the Chicago House of Blues “due to a medical emergency.”

According to a House of Blues executive that responded to the situation, the medical situations D’Angelo is facing are “serious, but he should be OK.”

This cancellation follows two more in New York and Maryland  this past week, and was followed by the calling off of Tuesday’s Minneapolis and Saturday’s San Diego performances.

As of now D’Angelo is still set to perform at Friday’s Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco.
