Daniel Donato dropped by the Fairfield Theatre Company in Connecticut on Wednesday for a concert in the parking lot. Though it was only a few years ago that the 28-year-old Nashville guitarist was performing free pop-up concerts in parking lots, this however was an officially sanctioned, ticketed event at the multipurpose Fairfield, CT venue.

The FTC concert comes in the midst of a whirlwind week for Donato. On Sunday, Danny delivered a highly sought-after sit-in with Billy Strings in Vermont (hours after Billy’s own concert just up the road). Then on Wednesday, Donato announced details of his long-awaited sophomore album, Reflector. Out November 10th via Retrace Music, the solo follow-up to 2020’s A Young Man’s Country will mark Donato’s first full-length release of all-original music.

But the milestones still aren’t over for Donato this week. This weekend, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will co-headline the Summer Jam 50 festival in LaFayette, NY alongside Dark Star Orchestra and The Weight Band. Together, these three acts will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Summer Jam festival, where the Grateful DeadAllman Brothers Band, and The Band brought an estimated 600,000 fans to Watkins Glen International Raceway for what became the record-holder for “largest audience at a pop festival.” Donato will present a special tribute to the Allman Brothers with guest Peter Levin (Gregg Allman Band) and other surprise additions. The two-day event will also christen the new Wonderland Forest concert venue and campground in New York’s Apple Valley.
