Dark Star Orchestra will close out 2025 with a marathon five-show, three-state New Year’s run. The venerated Grateful Dead tribute act will stop in Portland, ME, and Philadelphia en route to its annual trip to Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre [get tickets].
Following the conclusion of DSO’s fall tour on December 6th in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the band will resurface in the Northeast, beginning on December 29th at Portland’s State Theatre. The following night, Dark Star Orchestra will head to Philadelphia for a show at the Franklin Music Hall, followed by a New Year’s Eve celebration at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre. After the NYE festivities, DSO will take a day off ahead of a two-night weekend stay at The Cap on Friday, January 2nd, and Saturday, January 3rd.
Tickets for the Dark Star Orchestra 2025 New Year’s run are on pre-sale now, accessible with the password “COSMIC”. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 12th at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. For the December 31st show, the band is offering an upgraded VIP experience. This elevated offer will include one premium reserved ticket, early entry into the venue and first access to merch, an exclusive VIP poster signed by the band, and a commemorative ticket. After ringing in the new year in New York, Dark Star Orchestra will jet down to Jamaica for Jam in the Sand XIII in Montego Bay. The destination festival will host Melvin Seals & JGB, Brothers Comatose, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, plus three full two-set DSO shows, at the Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters resort from January 10th to 14th, 2026.
