Stand-up superstar Dave Chappelle and influential rapper/activist Killer Mike, along with Mike’s gospel backing ensemble, The Mighty Midnight Revival, have announced a co-headlining 2024 tour dubbed Still Talkin That Sh*t [ticketing details].

Per a press release, each of the seven stops on the Live Nation-produced tour will feature “a fusion of music and comedy across a joint set.” The tour will kick off in Detroit, MI on Friday, November 15th and make its way to prominent theaters in Atlanta, GA (11/7), Rosemont, IL (11/18), Boston, MA (11/20), New York, NY (11/21), Oakland, CA (11/23), and Long Beach, CA (11/24).

As with most of Chappelle’s shows, audience members’ phones and other connected devices will be bagged in Yondr pouches for the duration of each show. Per the announcement, “This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space. Anyone seen using a device (phone, smart watch, or accessories) during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free experience.”

Dave Chappelle has earned virtually every accolade possible for a comedian. In addition to his famed Comedy Central program, Cappelle’s Show, his award-winning guest appearances on Saturday Night Live, and his steady stream of Grammy-winning comedy specials/albums, he has recently expanded his pursuits as the co-host of The Midnight Miracle, a podcast he hosts alongside rappers Talib Kweli and yasiin bey (Black Star). No stranger to live collaborations with musicians, Chappelle has previously hosted mixed music/comedy shows with everyone from John Mayer to Robert Glasper. The comedian has often faced backlash in recent years for his repeated jokes about and persistent discussion of various marginalized groups, particularly transgender people.

Killer Mike, real name Michael Render, has been lauded for everything from his ferocious rhymes to his political activism. In 2020, he was recognized with Billboard‘s inaugural Change Maker Award. In 2023, his acclaimed 2023 album, MICHAEL, earned him three Grammy Awards including Best Rap Album—his first Grammy in 21 years. While Killer Mike has been an active solo artist for over 20 years, he is also widely renowned as half of the popular hip-hop duo Run The Jewels with his partner in rhyme EL-P.
