Over the weekend, Dave Matthews took a break from his ongoing summer tour to perform at the 10th annual Apollo In The Hamptons benefit concert in East Hampton, New York. The event on Saturday also featured appearances from breakout indie-pop star Maggie Rogers, Jon Bon Jovi, The Roots–who acted as the event’s house band–and South African musician Vusi Mahlasela.

As somewhat mandatory with all-star events like these, the various musicians and other notable public figures in attendance took advantage of the opportunity and performed with each other throughout the night.

Matthews teamed up with The Roots and Mahlasela to perform the guitarists’ own “Everyday” in addition to covering Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer”. Other songs performed throughout the event included Matthews and The Roots performing the former’s “Come Tomorrow” with help from Rogers, a cover of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” with help from Jamie Foxx, Spike Lee, Woody Harrelson, and the Black Eyed Peas, and a rendition of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer”.
