Dave Matthews Band hit the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, CT last night, playing an exceptional show that featured some revered guests and some brand new material from Dave. After an opening acoustic set, Matthews came out firing in the second frame, and never let up throughout the night.

The band debuted two songs, “Virginia in the Rain” (with Dave Matthews on keys) and “Death On The High Seas.” The latter featured saxophone from Branford Marsalis, who had previously been announced as a guest for Matthews last night. Marsalis stayed on for four songs in total, and trumpeter Jumaane Smith came out as well for a “Jimi Thing” and “Warehouse” to close out the set.
