After a few chance encounters, and mutual respect for one another’s music, David Byrne and indie-darling, St. Vincent, decided to collaborate on an album and sound that would be decidedly different from anything either of them had ever done before. Over a three year period of sending material back and forth, adding to this, and elaborating on that, the album Love This Giant will finally be released this coming September 11th, to coincide with 24-date tour that will see the duo play all over North America.

The main concept of the album was to create music and lyrics that were centralized around a brass section; definitely a change from both artists area of expertise. The end result of this incredible collaboration is Love This Giant, which Byrne and St. Vincent released the first track off the album recently, titled “Who”. They have now made available, via the album’s website, the second track “Weekend in the Dust”.
