Earlier this week a joke article went viral about David Guetta fleeing a stage in Paris, accidentally playing a self help CD for chorophobia (irrational fear of dancing), and admitting to playing prerecorded sets. David Guetta took to twitter to defend himself claiming that the article was released as a ploy to knock him down on the DJ MAG Top 100 list. Then, (unlike Gareth Emery who asked fans to vote for a charity he would donate to instead), he asked his fans to vote for him to reclaim his #1 spot.
I wonder why each year at the moment of the dj mag vote, there is always a fake story on me playing a pre recorded set.is it by accident?

I didn’t want to promote myself this year for dj mag but those haters/ liars/cheaters make me want to do it. Go to djmag top100 and vote!

People should know that to be successful, there is no need to try to destroy creative people. Just spend your time being better yourself

The original article was taken down but another media outlet covered the story as if it was real:Â http://primeape-movement.com/2013/07/david-guetta-flees-stage-in-paris-admits-to-fans-he-pre-records-his-shows-and-suffers-from-a-fear-of-dancing/
