Dead & Company tour is in full force!
The Grateful ensemble featuring Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge and John Mayer brought the big time jams to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA last night, playing some classic tunes to a packed house. The group opened with “Here Comes Sunshine” and continued to open the show with four tour debuts, including “Loose Lucy”, “Candyman”, and “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo”. Also played for the first time by Dead & Co was “Casey Jones”, the beloved bluesy rocker that closed out set one.

Set two kicked off with the creole classic “Iko Iko” before the crew jammed into “Feel Like A Stranger”. After a rousing “China/Rider”, the band let Kreutzmann and Hart do their “Drums” thing before launching into “Space”. The band returned with a big-time “Playing In The Band”, and wrapped up the second frame with “Standing On The Moon” and “Sugar Magnolia”.
With an encore of “U.S. Blues”, Dead & Company signed off on a great night of music. Dead & Company tour continues tonight, November 6th, with a show at The Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Check out the full setlist, below:
