Dead Feat has become a highly anticipated event in New Orleans during the evenings and weekends bound by New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The all-star collaboration pairs members of Little Feat with a cast of musicians well-versed in the music of the Grateful Dead for a performance that mixes material from both band’s songbooks and beyond. Now, CEG T-Presents have announced that they are bringing Dead Feat to Alpine Valley Resort in Elkhorn, WI on Saturday, June 23. The show will serve as a pre-party ahead of Dead & Company‘s second of two performances at East Troy’s fabled Alpine Valley Music Theatre later that evening. It also marks Dead Feat’s first-ever performance outside the Big Easy.

Dead Feat’s Alpine Valley performance will feature original and longtime Little Feat members Paul BarrereFred Tackett, and Kenny Gradney along with frequent Phil & Friends player Jackie Greene, longtime Grateful Dead offshoot project veteran Jason Crosby, and percussionist Wally Ingram, who served as the rhythmic backbone for the first ever Bobby & Phil Duo tour earlier this year.

The best part–Dead Feat’s two-set, 2pm performance takes place a mere 300 yards from Alpine Valley Music Theatre, giving fans ample time to enjoy the pre-party festivities and make their way to Dead & Co before showtime.
