The annual Megalomaniacs Ball at The Howlin Wolf has become a staple in New Orleans during Jazz Fest. This year’s stacked lineup features the Dean Ween Group, Mike Dillon’s New Orleans Punk Rock Percussion Consortium, Stanton Moore Trio (ft. Dave Torkanowsky, James Singleton), and The Illuminasti Trio (ft. Mike Dillon, Brian Haas, & James Singleton). Tickets are available here.

Held in the “daze between”, on Wednesday, April 27th, this out-of-the-box show gives Fest-goers the chance to see something a little different than what you’ll typically find at the Fairgrounds or on Frenchman Street. If you’ve seen Mike Dillon before, you’re familiar with his edgy, alternative style and energetic performance. It’s just the right amount of weird to complement your New Orleans experience.

For Mike Dillon, The Nolatet Is A Dream Come True – An Interview

On the heels of one of the most buzzed about reunions of the year, Dean Ween is sure to be fired up and on his A-game. Ween, aka Mickey Melchiondo, collaborated with Dillon recently with an epic surprise sit-in at Cervantes in Denver. Peep that below:

Galactic drummer Stanton Moore will lead a trio of renowned NOLA cats with David Tornakowsky on keys and James Singleton on double bass. The Illuminasti Trio rounds out this fantastic lineup with Dillon and Singleton joining forces, plus jazz pianist Brian Haas.
