Fans of Ween were in heaven last weekend, as the band performed their first three shows since New Year’s Eve of 2011. The three-night run at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO saw the group play well over 90 songs, creating an incredible bounty of highlights for the band’s ever-growing legion of fans.
Today, Dean Ween (aka Mickey Melchiondo Jr.) spoke briefly about the shows, making a post in the Ween Appreciation Society group about how they were recorded and his plans for future release. Read the note below:
A heads up—we had a video camera set up at the soundboard zoomed in on the stage w/a soundboard feed. i’m gonna post some of my highlights this week w the real deal mix. mad props to our crew, kirk miller at FOH as always, Gabe Monago, number one roadie and smoke machine master, and to Paul our new monitor engineer, who was awesome. it was also recorded multi-track by a mobile recording unit so we have the option of doing a proper mix if we want.
