On the heels of one of 2022’s most successful tours, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe have announced U.S. dates for their joint The World Tour. The string of six domestic concerts will carry the hair metal acts from the East Coast through the Midwest in August with special guest Alice Cooper.
The series of shows begins on August 5th in Syracuse, NY before moving westward with stops in Columbus, OH (8/8), Fargo, ND (8/11), and Omaha, NE (8/13). The World Tour will then head south for the first-ever concert at the H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, OK (8/16) and finally El Paso, TX (8/18).
“After finally getting back on the road this past summer, we’re beyond thrilled to bring this massive tour to a global audience including some special dates in America!” Said Joe Elliott of Def Leppard.
This announcement comes after Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe took The Stadium Tour, which sold over 1.3 million tickets this past summer, global with the announcement of The World Tour. Following a previously announced pair of concerts in Atlantic City in February, the bands will jet off for dates in South America, Europe, and the U.K. through July.
“We had an incredible time playing The Stadium Tour in North America this summer and we truly can’t wait to take the show around the globe with The WORLD Tour in 2023,” Mötley Crüe said in a joint statement. “Crüeheads get ready because we have a few amazing U.S. dates set for you!”

These shows will mark Mötley Crüe’s first with newly-minted guitarist John 5, who joined the Crüe to replace founding guitarist Mick Mars. It was confirmed back in October that Mars, 71, will retire from touring due to his lifelong battle with ankylosing spondylitis. Though he will not tour with the group, Mars confirmed in a statement that he “will continue as a member of the band”.
