Ever wonder how much it would cost to have Eminem host your next birthday party? Trey Anastasio to play for you on Memorial Day Weekend? Lana Del Ray to sing you to sleep during a breakup? Well, we have, and the anticipation is finally over as Degy Entertainment has provided us with a list of rough estimates for booking several top artists.
Even though it pains us to see Justin Beiber’s $1 million charge (lawsuites and illegalities not included), we’re happy to see artists like Rye Rye, recently feautured in Bassnectar’s new song “Now,” and Moon Taxi, costing under 10k. Additionally, Jam band favorite Lotus comes in at 25-30k, while the Kentucky-born country star Billy Ray Cyrus costs around 40-50k in his post-mullet years.
So what do we do with this information? Start an “Affordable Artists Festival,” daydream about summer barbeques accompanied by the $1 million Dave Matthews Band, or simply take it for what it is and accept the fact that we will never hear “Crash Into Me,” alone in our backyard with our significant other…
