[UPDATE 2/17/22]: DelFest added to its 2022 lineup on Thursday with a round of additions including Tyler Childers with The Travelin’ McCourys, Robert Earl Keen, and more. The festival, founded by Del McCoury, will return to the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, MD May 26th–29th, 2022.
Thursday’s lineup additions also feature The Jerry Douglas Band, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, and the Price Sisters. DelFest favorite Tyler Childers will join hosts the Travelin’ McCourys for a one-of-a-kind set. The festival will also mark Robert Earl Keen’s first and last appearance at DelFest, as the 66-year-old singer-songwriter announced his retirement effective September 4th, 2022.
These acts join the previously announced lineup of Del McCoury Band, The Travelin’ McCourys, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart, Sam Bush, Watchhouse, The California Honeydrops, Sierra Hull, Anders Osborne and Jackie Green, Cabinet, The Lil Smokies, Ghost of Paul Revere, Steve Poltz, Sister Sadie, Cris Jacobs, Della Mae, and more.

[12/16/21]: DelFestwill return to Cumberland, MD in May 2022 with a lineup headed by host bands The Del McCoury Band and The Travelin’ McCourys alongside Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, and more. The Del McCoury-founded festival will take place May 26th–29th, 2022 at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland.
Also on tap for the return of DelFest is a special performance of Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart, in addition to Sam Bush, Watchhouse, The California Honeydrops, Sierra Hull, Anders Osborne and Jackie Green, Cabinet, The Lil Smokies, Ghost of Paul Revere, Steve Poltz, Sister Sadie, Cris Jacobs, Della Mae, and more. This will mark DelFest’s triumphant return after two pandemic-induced years off.

Tickets for DelFest 2022 go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. ET via the event website. Four-day passes will go on sale for a temporary holiday price of $230.50. Fans should stay tuned for additional lineup announcements as well as the festival’s Late Night programming lineup. As is tradition, DelFest will be preceded by the three-day DelFest Academy, hosted by The Travelin’ McCourys and other prominent bluegrass musicians to be announced.
