Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi put on their metaphorical parenting hats for a new video in which the two notable musicians share congratulatory and inspiring messages for students graduating this spring under the most extraordinary of circumstances.

A brief video shared this week as part of a series being run by The Florida Times-Union with messages aimed at this year’s graduating seniors in high school and college who won’t be able to celebrate their academic achievements with a traditional commencement ceremony. Trucks, a Jacksonville native, and Tedeschi reside in the Jacksonville area with their family when they’re not on tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band, and have a son who is part of the class of 2020.
