Acclaimed bluegrass/rock trio The Devil Makes Three has announced an extensive 2020 winter tour, which will see the band on the road throughout January and February. The Devil Makes Three continues to tour in support of their latest album, Chains Are Broken, which arrived in August 2018 via New West Records.
For their upcoming tour, the band has also announced that MorganEve Swain, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for Brown Bird and The Huntress And Holder Of Hands, will join them on this run in the absence of Lucia Turino (upright bassist and backing vocalist), who recently parted ways with the band.
TDM3’s Pete Bernhard shared his thoughts on MorganEve Swain joining the band. He explained,
Inviting MorganEve on this tour was an easy and natural decision; in fact, it was actually Lucia’s idea. She’s worked with us many times and has even joined us on stage on fiddle and cello when we toured with Brown Bird. It’s going to be great to be performing with her again.
The Devil Makes Three’s 2020 winter tour begins with a performance at Fairfield, CT’s The Warehouse on January 16th and ends with a show at Austin, TX’s Emo’s on February 8th. The tour will also see the band make stops at Providence, RI’s The Strand (1/17); Jersey City, NJ’s White Eagle Hall (1/19); Charlottesville, VA’s Jefferson Theater (1/22); Baltimore, MD’s Ram’s Head Live (1/23); Asheville, NC’s The Orange Peel (1/26); Atlanta, GA’s Variety Playhouse (1/30); Nashville, TN’s Cannery Ballroom (2/1); Houston, TX’s White Oak Music Hall (2/6); and more.
Tickets for all newly announced shows go on sale this Friday, October 25th at 10 a.m. local time here.
