Back in December of 2017, Dickey Betts announced on his 74th birthday that he’d be returning to the road in 2018 after retiring three years ago. In the months since, Betts has embarked on his 2018 comeback tour, hitting a number of venues and festivals across the country. Frequently joined by son, Duane Betts, in addition to the rest of his fan-favorite band, the Allman Brothers Band guitarist has increasingly been gaining momentum across the year. After Betts closed out the highly anticipated Peach Festival in Scranton, Pennsylvania—a music festival that has become renowned as an Allman Brothers Band family gathering—the guitarist has been truly dialed in.

Today, Dickey Betts has added a number of additional tour dates, with Betts first heading to Syracuse’s Great New York State Fair on August 28th. The performance comes ahead of a two-night run, which will also see Betts and company perform at Wallingford, Connecticut’s Oakdale Theatre and Hampton Beach, New Hampshire’s Casino Ballroom on August 30th and 31st, respectively. On October 20th, Dickey Betts hits Florida Jam in Boca Raton, Florida, before his first announced date in 2019, an appearance on the Southern Rock Cruise, which departs from Tampa Bay, Florida, on January 6th.
