After spending most of February on the road playing shows in the Midwest and Texas, New Jersey jam quintet Dogs in a Pile capped off the winter trek with two nights at Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO.

Dogs strung together four unique sets over Friday and Saturday night, including jam-packed originals and lively covers of Stevie Wonder‘s “Boogie On Reggae Woman”, Steely Dan‘s “Green Earrings”, Steppenwolf‘s Magic Carpet Ride”, and Led Zeppelin‘s “No Quarter”. Saturday saw the band welcome some special guests including saxophonist Nick Gerlach and Clay Street Unit guitarist Sam Walker, the latter of whom helped Dogs debut a cover of the Allman Brothers Band‘s “Whipping Post”.

Both nights featured support from progressive jam upstarts Squeaky Feet, a band that formed at Berklee College Music before laying down roots in Denver in 2018.
