Christmas came early this year when Dolly Parton delivered her first holiday album in 30 years with A Holly Dolly Christmas back in October. The collection of original Christmas music found the national treasure teamed up with an array of artists including Miley Cyrus, Michael Bublé, Jimmy Fallon, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her old pal Willie Nelson. Wednesday, or Christmas Eve Eve, brought an unexpected present under the tree as Parton released a new animated video for “Pretty Paper” with Nelson.

Originally written by the Red Headed Stranger back in 1963, “Pretty Paper” tells the story of a disabled man Nelson saw outside a department store selling wrapping paper. The song would go on to be covered by a number of artists, including Roy Orbison and Glen Campbell.

The animated video for “Pretty Paper” takes the two members of the country music oligarchy on a veritable sleigh ride turned wagon ride through the streets of Fort Worth, TX. While passing along the various comings and goings of holiday shoppers, the two also pass by 55-foot Texas landmark Big Tex from the annual state fair in Dallas. Along the way, Parton and Nelson reflect on the giving nature of Christmas and caring for those less fortunate especially during the holiday season.
