This fall, Dopapod and The Motet will team up and hit the road together for a co-headlined tour spanning twelve dates across October and November. While members of the two acts have frequently sat in with one another, this fall marks the first time The Motet and Dopapod will tour together under a shared, extensive bill. Focused on the East Coast and the Midwest, the fall tour kicks off in Philadelphia on October 26th at the Theatre of Living Arts. From there, the group will hit New York City’s Irving Plaza, New Haven’s College Street Music Hall, and Burlington’s Higher Ground across the next three nights as they gear up for separate Halloween appearances.

Dopapod and The Motet reconvene on November 8th with a performance at Minneapolis’ Skyway Theatre followed by a show at Turner Hall Ballroom on the 9th. On November 10th, the two groups hit Chicago with a performance at Park West ahead of their Cincinnati show at Bogarts the following night. To round out the tour, the acts have a four-night run scheduled across the South, with dates in Richmond, Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina; Asheville, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia falling across November 15th through 18th.

As noted in a press release, both bands have been looking forward to a joint tour, with Dopapod’s Eli Winderman noting, “This is a dream tour we’ve been wanting to make happen for years and it’s so exciting to finally have it come together. Not just because of the friendship between both bands over the years, but they’re all incredible players. It’s going to be a blast getting to hang and watch them kill it night to night.” Lyle Divinsky, lead singer for The Motet, agreed, stating, “This is going to be all out musical mayhem fueled by the backbeat of love. These incredible men have been great friends of ours for a long time, and we cannot wait to see what kind of magic comes alive at these shows!”
