Earphunk, an up-and-coming prog funk band from New Orleans, have revealed details behind their forthcoming album. The LP will be entitled Sweet Nasty, and the band is teaming with BitTorrent Bundle to release the album as part of a multimedia bundle prior to its official release.

BitTorrent Bundle is a direct-to-fan service that allows artists to release their music directly to their fanbase. The band released a Phunk Bundle through this platform earlier in the year, rich with live recordings and the band’s EP, No 9 To 5. You can download that here.

The new album will officially be released on August 19th, but the electronic bundle will be available on August 18th. To get a taste of what Sweet Nasty has to offer, flip over to the band’s official website for a free download of the track “Saura,” which will be released on the album.

Earphunk has also announced a two month-long tour in support of the album. Throughout the tour, they will be joined by acts like The Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, and 311. The tour also includes numerous festival stops, including Groove Music and Arts Festival, Gratifly Music Festival, and Bear Creek Music Festival.
