This Saturday (May 9th) Earth, Wind & Fire will join some of the world’s most renowned scientists and environmentalists for LIVE MED AID, a livestream event to raise money and hopefully shine a light on ways humanity can approach moving through the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The one-night event will stream online on Saturday evening from 6 p.m. ET through 11 p.m. ET, and will feature appearances from popular names in the scientific communities including Jane Goodall, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and filmmaker Dr. Sarah Ives (Pandemic Netflix Documentary). The virtual event will also feature a performance from 2019 Kennedy Center honorees along with Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies), Bombino, Patrick Watson, Jesse Cook, Alex Cuba, Paul Anthony, and more.

The virtual event will reportedly air to a projected 200+ million digital viewers on websites including Popular Science, Goalcast, WatchMojo, Infographics Show, Diply, and WCSFP, along with the LIVE MED AID social media pages. Monetary funds raised from the event will go to benefit organizations including Doctors Without Borders, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and frontline healthcare workers.
