Eggy will team up with Taper’s Choice for the Peaks and Valleys Spring Tour, hitting venues across the western United States this April.
Per an announcement post, each night will feature a set from indie-jam team-up project Taper’s Choice—featuring drummer Chris Tomson (Vampire Weekend), bassist Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), keyboardist Zach Tenorio-Miller (Aric Iris), and guitarist Dave Harrington (DARKSIDE)—and “a full night of Eggy,” the four-piece composed of Jake Brownstein (guitar), Dani Battat (keys), Mike Goodman (bass), and Alex Bailey (drums).
While the two groups haven’t toured together in the past, collaborative seeds have already been planted by their respective members. In early 2025, Eggy’s Jake Brownstein was one of the many notable guests who joined Taper’s Choice during a special performance at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl marking the 50th anniversary of Relix Magazine. Earlier this month, Taper’s Choice’s Alex Bleeker and his longtime band Real Estate linked up with Eggy for a four-show run billed as Hell Froze Over. After news of Grateful Dead co-founder Bob Weir‘s passing broke ahead of the run’s final night in Portland, ME, Bleeker and James Richardson joined Eggy for an encore cover of “One More Saturday Night” in Weir’s honor.
Eggy and Taper’s Choice will also have plenty of chances to hone their connection ahead of the tour on February’s Jam Cruise 22, which is due to feature performances by both groups in addition to collaborative Jam Room sessions led by both Jake Brownstein and Dave Harrington.
The Peaks and Valleys journey will begin in the Southwest at Phoenix, AZ’s The Rebel Lounge (4/1) before heading to California for shows in Solana Beach (4/2) at Belly Up and Los Angeles (4/3) at Lodge Room.
After a brief break, the bands will head to the Pacific Northwest for dates at Eugene, OR’s WOW Hall (4/8), Bend, OR’s Tower Theatre (4/9), Portland, OR’s historic Aladdin Theater (4/10), and Seattle, WA’s Neumos (4/11). The Eggy and Taper’s Choice Peaks and Valleys Tour will conclude on April 12th at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe South Shore Room in Stateline, NV.
Pre-sales begin Wednesday, January 21st at 10 a.m. local venue time, with public on-sale starting Friday, January 23rd at 10 a.m. local time.

Both bands will be hitting the road extensively in early 2026 before their joint western tour. Eggy will kick off its Something in the Air Tour in early March with 14 dates throughout the Midwest and Southeast, including an appearance at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival. Taper’s Choice, meanwhile, will embark on an East Coast and Southern run starting January 30th at Ardmore Music Hall in Pennsylvania, with dates through early February including stops in Brooklyn, Washington D.C., Charleston, and Atlanta, before performing at Big Ears Festival in Knoxville on March 26th.
Both groups will also head to Sin City in the spring for their own respective stints at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas during Phish‘s multi-weekend Sphere residency, with Eggy scheduled for a pair of late-nights during weekend one (April 16th and 17th) and Taper’s Choice set for two after-shows with Flying Mojito Bros during weekend three (May 1st and 2nd).
