According to a report published by local Fox 17, a 20-year-old volunteer for an outside vendor at the Electric Forest Music Festival passed away on Sunday night after a medical emergency. The man’s name was Brian Brockette.
Details about the incident are particularly scarce, as Michigan State Police are currently investigating Brockette’s death. Electric Forest released the following statement:
“On Sunday night, the festival’s health and safety team was alerted to a medical emergency involving an outside vendor’s volunteer. Event medical personnel responded along side Michigan State Police troopers. The man was then transported to a local hospital. We later learned that, unfortunately, he passed away.
This festival was created to celebrate life and to enjoy music in a magical setting. This has deeply affected everyone involved with the event. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and friends.”
