Elon Musk took to Twitter last night to announce that he had written a song called “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe”. The Tesla and SpaceX founder, among his many other projects, now appears to have taken on the roll of progressive house DJ.

The song itself, premiered via Soundcloud of course, isn’t half bad—somewhere between low-fi house music and a subdued club banger. As a distant beat progressively builds in the back, a distorted low-octave voice lightly beckons “don’t doubt your vibe”, only half saying each of the words. All the while, another higher-pitched voice acts as a yin to the yang of the deeper voice as the song gets into a recurring trance for just over four minutes. Musk noted on Twitter that he wrote the lyrics and sang the vocals.

Coming into “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” with very low expectations was probably the best way to go, learning from the mistakes of the high anticipation surrounding Tesla’s ill-fated Cybertruck. Nobody is recommending trying to throw a rock at Musk’s new dance track, but just let the Rocketman enjoy this small victory so he can get back in the lab and try to figure out how to save humanity.

The track is listed on Emo G Records, which has one previous release from 10 months ago entitled “RIP Harambe“, which has much heavier overtones of Soundcloud rappers as autotuned voices pay tribute to the gorilla who was killed in a Cincinnati zoo in the summer of 2016. Don’t quit your day job, Elon.
