Guitar slinger extraordinaire Eric Krasno will be bringing his own brand of funk to the next level come July 1st, when he hits the road with his solo outfit in support of a new solo album. Krasno’s new release, Blood On A Stone, is due out July 8th, and will feature some elite musicians for his traveling band.
While Krasno did most of the in-studio work himself, his new band features bassist Alex Chakour, drummer Eric Kalb, keyboardist DeShawn Alexander, rhythm guitarist Danny Mayer and backing vocalist Mary Corso. The album also features Krasno’s debut on lead vocals, seeing the storied musician step into a whole new role for this new release.
Krasno keeps the momentum grooving with a brand new single as well, sharing the psychedelic tune “On The Rise” ahead of the new release. Listen to the new track below, as it premiered on AllMusic earlier today.
