A fan who attempted to swim into a waterside Slayer/Anthrax concert at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage in May 2018 has now been immortalized on a new bottle label from the popular beer brand.

According to reports, after being kicked out of the venue, the daring Canadian fan, Chris LaRocque, nearly got hypothermia when he attempted to swim his way back into the hard rock show along the shores of Lake Ontario last spring.
This year, in honor of the Budweiser-sponsored venue’s 25th anniversary, the venue appears to be selling Budweiser cans with custom artwork featuring various music- and Toronto-related imagery—including LaRocque’s aquatic escapade.
LaRocque was reportedly informed that his likeness was used on the beer’s label by a friend who recently attended a Blink 182 performance at Budweiser Stage. The designers behind the venue’s 25th-anniversary label used the photo of LaRocque shared by Anthrax’s Scott Ian on the guitarist’s Instagram following the spring 2018 performance.
“So, I guess I made it on a beer can label,” LaRocque shared in a since-deleted post featuring an image of the custom Budweiser label. “I wonder if I can get free beer?”
LaRocque also shared a statement on the new beer label to VICE, saying, “I am honoured to be on it but I am kind of annoyed that originally [they] kicked me out, banned me for a year, then used my image without permission or any sort of notification.”
