Last night, both famed actor John Travolta and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith joined the Foo Fighters at Wantagh, NY’s Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.
This was not the first time that Travolta has hopped onstage with the band. Back in April, during their headlining Welcome To Rockville show, the band had two very special guests line up for surprise appearances—John Travolta and Billy Idol. Travolta was watching Foo Fighters’ set from the side stage when Dave Grohl and company moved into a cover of the Grease classic “You’re The One That I Want”, a tune made famous by Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. After the out-of-left-field cover, Travolta emerged briefly to give Grohl a hug. Last night, the Foo Fighters again delivered a cover of the Grease classic “You’re The One That I Want”, with Travolta once again emerging onstage during the song, this time throwing down some of his epic dance moves from the 1978 film.

Chad Smith, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer and longtime friend Grohl, also joined the band later in the show for a cover of the Faces “Stay With Me”.
