Foo Fighters fans everywhere will rejoice at the news of the American rock band’s return to the stage on December 13th at Mexico City’s 55,000 seat stadium, Foro Sol. The band, which has not played live since their last show at the Global Citizen Festival last summer, has hinted that this upcoming show will feature songs from their new album in the works, which is said to be a follow up of their 2011 album, Wasting Light.
Opening the show will be indie rock band, The National, which might seem like an unusual mix with the rock-hard music of the Foo Fighters. Nonetheless, both bands have been known to kill it on stage, and we have no doubt that this show will showcase both the classic grunge soul of Foo Fighter’s frontman Dave Grohl’s voice, and the eerie and experimental sounds threaded in all Matt Berninger’s songwriting.
