A fourth person has died as the result of a crash at Austin’s SXSW that injured nearly two dozen people and claimed the lives of three others.

According to Austin’s KXAN, the fourth victim, DeAndre Tatum was just 18 years old and had been in critical condition since the crash on March 13th. The Austin Police Department confirmed the death on Thursday via Twitter:

The driver, 21 year-old Rashad Owens, has been charged with capital murder in the deadly crash, according to KXAN. He remains in police custody after a district court judge set his bail at $3 million.

According to Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo, there was a DUI checkpoint at a local Shell gas station. Owens sped through the checkpoint, and was being pursued, when he headed the opposite direction down a one-way street, and ultimately wound up crashing through temporary barricades and into a crowd of civilians.
