Futurebirds took flight over the weekend for a two-night, tour-closing trip to Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. The first of two shows by the Athens, GA country-rockers featured the live debut of their latest single, “Vampire Nights”, released the morning the band kicked off the Friday-Saturday stint.

The seven-piece band got in the NYC spirit at Brooklyn Bowl, taking the stage both nights to Big Apple-centric songs including Beastie Boys‘ “No Sleep Til’ Brooklyn” on Friday and Ace Frehley‘s “New York Groove” on Saturday. While they may have been in a “New York State of Mind” over the weekend, Futurebirds are no doubt looking ahead to their upcoming return to Georgia.

On October 21st and 22nd, Futurebirds will hold their inaugural Highball curated festival in Atlanta. Coming soon to ATL’s historic Pullman Yards, the event will feature nightly headliners Band of Horses and The Head and The Heart, with Futurebirds playing each evening ahead of the top act.
