As fans get excited for the return of Game of Thrones, HBO has revealed plans to release volume two of Catch the Throne: The Mixtape. This round will feature talent from Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Anthrax, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage and more.

The hip-hop vs. metal juxtaposition is meant to play on the show’s fire and ice theme. Each artist on the tape will represent one of the power-hungry families from the show.

Snoop Dogg, an avid GoT fan, confessed:

“Off the top, I love Game of Thrones – I even gave my expert analysis of this season on my GGN show. It’s like the rap game, it’s gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top. I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it.”

Anthrax’s Scott Ian said,

“As fans of Game of Thrones, we are extremely excited to collaborate on this project. Recording a song about the Lannister family allows us to connect more with our fans and Game of Thrones fans in a way we would have never imagined.”

The mixtape is due out in March, leading up to the season five premiere on April 12.
