Gene Ween (a.k.a. Aaron Freeman) loves Billy Joel. Back in 2015, during Ween’s hiatus, Gene Ween put on a handful of concerts with a band of his own choosing that specifically performed both well-known and obscure songs from the Billy Joel catalog. Those concerts were aptly named Gene Ween Does Billy Joel. Today, Gene Ween announced he’s bringing the tribute back with a series of  Gene Ween Does Billy Joel performances this August.

The tour starts off at Daryl’s House in Pawling, New York, on August 4th, the winds through Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Delaware, before ending with two performances in New York in Westbury and Woodstock on August 11th and 12th respectively. The majority of the show go on pre-sale tomorrow, May 9th, at 10 am EST here, while the tickets formally go on sale to the public on Friday, May 12th, at 10 am EST. You can check out the full tour dates and locations below, as well as watch the full April 10th, 2015 performance of Gene Ween Does Billy Joel, when the group took to Bearsville Theatre for special Radio Woodstock show.
