George Porter Jr. and Runnin’ Pardners gave their fans a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift last week with the band’s first original studio recording since 2015 entitled, “Crying For Hope”. The slow-burning funk track will appear on the band’s forthcoming full-length studio effort by the same name, due out in February on a date still to be confirmed.
The song premiered during the band’s livestreamed performance from New Orleans’ DBA on Porter’s 73rd birthday last week (December 26th) during which they were joined by guitarist Anders Osbourne. The track is now available on all major streaming platforms.
