It seems like the Great Googa Mooga festival in Brooklyn can’t catch a break. Thrown by Superfly, creators of Bonnaroo and Outside Lands, the festival had supposedly fixed the serious issues it had last year with long lines and lack of mobility but had to cancel today’s event due to bad weather. Today’s performers included The Soul Rebels, De La Soul, Cults, Kool & the Gang, and Pat Mahoney and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem. Read the official statement below:

Due to poor weather, the New York City Parks Department, Prospect Park Alliance, and Googamooga have decided to cancel today’s festivities in the interest of safety and prevention of damage to the park grounds. All Sunday VIP ticket purchases will be refunded in full.

We apologize for any inconvenience due to today’s cancellation and thank festival-goers and vendors for their support and understanding.
