After making its headlining debut at Madison Square Garden earlier this year, Goose has turned the performance into an official live album, Live at MSG. Available now across streaming services, a 7LP box set is also available for pre-order and expected to ship the week of December 8th [stream/pre-order].

June 28th, 2025, marked the largest headlining show of Goose’s career (so far), and the band made the most of it by taking over the World’s Most Famous Arena for just over five hours. The band made its debut at MSG last fall as part of the star-studded SOULSHINE benefit concert for hurricane relief, where Goose welcomed Dave Matthews, Bruce Hornsby, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, and Robert Randolph during its five-song set. Seven months later, Goose had the run of the place and took full advantage with a 19-song, two-set show featuring guest appearances by a horn section of Stuart Bogie on saxophone, Dave Nelson on trombone, and Andrew McGovern on trumpet.

From the first-ever show-opening “Factory Fiction” through the horn-assisted “Arcadia” encore that wrapped at 12:30 a.m., Goose stuck to what got the band there. With extended originals “Hungersite”, “A Western Sun”, “Animal”, “Thatch”, “Red Bird”, “Tumble”, and “Dripfield”, the band etched eight total songs that ran past the 15-minute mark, plus fun covers of Kate Bush‘s resurgent Stranger Things anthem “Running Up That Hill” and Otis Day and the Knights‘ “Shama Lama Ding Dong” to balance out the deep jamming with light-hearted singalongs.

With the release of Live at MSG, Goose shared pro-shot footage of “Jed Stone”, available below, along with a full video of the show. Pre-order Live at MSG on vinyl here for $149.99 (shipping and taxes not yet included). Revisit Live For Live Music‘s full on-site coverage of the Goose MSG show here.
